150,000 policemen dispatched to ensure road safety on Chinese New Year's eve

        BEIJING - Nationwide, 150,000 policemen were dispatched to ensure road safety and smooth traffic flow on the first day of the week-long Spring Festival holiday, said the Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security.
As of 5 pm Monday, no traffic accidents with more than 5 deaths had been reported.
Over 50,000 police vehicles were mobilized across the country on Monday to make sure people have a smooth drive on the road, according to the bureau.
