28-truck pile-up leaves 3 dead in central China

ZHENGZHOU -- At least three people were killed in a chain reaction car crash where 28 trucks were involved on a highway in Central China's Henan Province Monday, local authorities said.
The accident occurred around 7:30 am near a toll station in Pingyu, in the city of Zhumadian, according to the publicity department of Pingyu County Committee of the Communist Party of China.
Thirteen people had been admitted to hospital after the accident, including three later confirmed dead. A rescue mission is ongoing, said the source.
