Folk artist creates music out of saw and knife

In the past 14 years, Liang Linsheng has played musical saw and knife almost everyday.
Liang, a 61-year-old folk musician in Panshi city, Northeast China's Jilin province, has been engaged in studying and playing the unique musical instruments since 2004 when he was an erhu - a two-string traditional Chinese instrument - teacher.
Having received several awards, including international prizes, Liang said he dreams to play on the stage of Xingguang Dadao, or Star Avenue, a popular program of the China Central Television.
"I also hope to pass on the technique to the young generation and make more people know the unique art," he said.
