US stocks close lower

NEW YORK, Oct 15 -- US stocks ended lower on Monday.

The Dow fell 0.35 percent to 25,250.55, and the S&P 500 was down 0.59 percent to 2,750.79, while the Nasdaq decreased 0.88 percent to 7,430.74.
