Hong Kong and Shenzhen among top 10 global competitive cities

Hong Kong and Shenzhen are among the top 10 most competitive cities in the world, ranking seventh and tenth respectively, a new survey shows.
Jointly released by the Hong Kong Chinese and Foreign Institute of City Competitiveness and Hong Kong Gui Qiang Fang Institute of Global Competitiveness, the 2018 Global City Competitiveness Ranking reveals 9 Chinese cities entered the top 50 on the list. Shanghai drops by seven to 14th place and Beijing is one place ahead at 22nd, compared with their rankings in 2017.
New York, Tokyo and London remained as the top three in the ranking.
The other shortlisted Chinese cities include Guangzhou at 34th, Hangzhou at 44th, Tianjin in 48th and Suzhou in 50th.
