Macao's visitor arrivals reach 900,000 during Chinese Golden Week holiday

MACAO -- The visitor arrivals in China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) reached nearly 900,000 during the seven-day Golden Week holiday, up 7.2 percent year-on-year, the SAR tourism office said on Monday.
Visitor arrivals from the Chinese mainland reached 73,4910 during the seven days, up by 14 percent year-on-year, Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) said.
Meanwhile, a total of 14,7996 visitors arrived in Macao on Oct 3, the peak day during the seven days, up 13.3 percent year-on-year.
The MGTO had actively prepared for the arrival of the visitors by carrying out a series of tasks, including operation of tourism notification system, it said.
