Guangdong fair focuses on rural tourism

He urged cities, counties and travel agencies to pay special heed to developing the province's rural tourism, saying it would benefit both the urban and rural economies.
Jointly organized by the provincial Tourism Administration and Yunfu's city government, more than 300 government officials, senior executives of major travel agencies and farmer representatives attended the event at Xiangwoshan Ecological Park in Xinxing county, which is under the administration of Yunfu.
Tea dances, folk song duets and dragon dancing were performed, along with art of tea contests, and a trade fair of local produce was also organized to help celebrate China's first Farmers' Harvest Festival, which took place on Sunday.
