Xi congratulates Erdogan

President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message on Friday to Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his re-election as Turkey's president.
Xi noted in the message that he and Erdogan have maintained close exchanges in recent years and promoted bilateral cooperation in various areas to yield positive outcomes.
The president said he believes that under the leadership of Erdogan, Turkey will make greater achievements in national development.
Xi added that he attaches great importance to the development of China-Turkey relations, and would like to work with Erdogan to push forward the China-Turkey strategic cooperative relation to better benefit both countries and their people.
