Last week, a new road tunnel equipped with electrooptic energy storage self-luminescence emergency induction system was put into use in Chengkou county in SW China's Chongqing. The 550-meter-long tunnel is decorated with red, yellow, blue and white arc-shaped luminous bands which help relieve eye fatigue of drivers. The system relies on solar power and uses less than 10 kwh per day.
