On Thursday, during the launch ceremony for the fourth updated version of Tuanyuan, the food-delivery website Eleme Waimai announced that the company and its 3 million delivery workers are joining the system.
Tuanyuan, an official online platform named after the Chinese word for reunion, releases information about missing children and was developed for the authorities by e-commerce giant Alibaba.
The Eleme app has connected with Tuanyuan, providing alerts about missing children to its delivery workers. Those workers within the scope of 100 kilometers of a disappearance will receive notifications the first time around, and then the information will be spread step by step to as far as 500 kilometers.
