Largest foreign student internship base in Hubei opens

The largest foreign student internship base in Hubei province was formally established on Tuesday, Chutian Metro Daily reported.

The base, jointly built by FiberHome Technologies Group and Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), is promoted by Exit and Entry Administration Department of Wuhan Public Security Bureau.

More than 200 internship positions for foreign students will be provided each year, and the interns who pass an assessment test will be provided job opportunity by FiberHome.

Gino, a doctoral student of HUST from Democratic Republic of the Congo has been studying in China for 6 years. He said it was difficult for foreign students to intern in high-tech industries, and the base provides a rare opportunity for him.
