Scars of Nanking wins Daytime Emmy

Los Angeles Scars of Nanking, a television co-production of China's Jiangsu Broadcasting Corp (JBC) and A&E Networks of the US, won the Outstanding Cinematography Award on April 27 in Los Angeles at the 45th annual Daytime Emmy Awards given by the New York-based National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The docudrama follows American missionaries' struggle to save Chinese civilians from the slaughter and rape by the Imperial Japanese Army, as well as the missionaries' smuggling out of evidence about the Nanjing Massacre in 1937.
