Liverpool coaching methods to be introduced in Yunnan schools
KUNMING, China -- English Premier League club Liverpool announced a campus football cooperation project in Kunming, the capital city of Southwest China's Yunnan province, on Tuesday.
The project, to be provided to 10 schools in Kunming, has been organized in partnership with the Kunming Municipal Bureau of Education.
Dan White, head of the LFC International Academies hailed the agreement.
"We consistently apply the same coaching principles on all our programs. So, when a player plays here at the LFC International Academy in Kunming, they will be coached in exactly the same way as our players in Liverpool - 'The Liverpool Way'. "
The project intends to develop the participants both on and off the pitch, to encourage them to get active and improve their football skills, and also to improve other skills such as communication, teamwork and leadership.
White stressed that the project aims to have a coach from Liverpool working with the players and an excellent group of local coaches, who will gain a thorough understanding of the LFC Academy coaching standards.
This campus football cooperation project will last for six months.
