Xi reiterates commitment to safeguarding authority of UN

BEIJING - Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sunday met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, stressing that it is a basic policy of China's diplomacy to safeguard the world body's authority and stature.
After his stay in Beijing, the UN chief will travel to Boao, Hainan province, to attend the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2018.
