Sina Sports signs agreements to promote 3x3 basketball
Sina Sports, China's premier online sports content provider, signed a series of strategic cooperative agreements with the basketball association and local television station of Guangdong province Sunday, aiming to better promote the rising 3x3 basketball game.
The agreements were signed before the opening of a 3x3 basketball tournament, which was held in Guangzhou, Guangdong's capital, on Sunday.
Under the agreements, the Sina 3x3 Golden League aims to develop into one of the top three of its kind in the world, according to Wei Jianglei, general manager of Sina Sports.
"Joining hands with the local television station and basketball association will help develop the tournament in a more professional way," Wei said.
Chinese basketball legend Mengke Bateer also participated into this year's tournament, giving professional advice to young players.
