Shanghai college students enjoy free shuttle bus service
A free shuttle bus service for college students in Shanghai was launched over the weekend, making it easier for those who live outside of Shanghai to get home during the winter vacation.
From Jan 13 to 25, the new service will take students from college campuses in suburban Shanghai’s Minhang, Jiangwan, Zhangjiang, Lingang, Songjiang and Fengxian to destinations including Shanghai Railway Station, Shanghai South Railway Station, Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Hongqiao transportation hub.
Before the introduction of this service, students had to make multiple transfers between different modes of transportation before they could reach the railway stations and airports.
The Shanghai Municipal Education Commission also hosted an education program on Jan 13 at Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Minhang campus to promote road safety among students during this busy travel period preceding the Spring Festival next month.
