The Xi'an Railway Bureau also adjusted the ratio of hard seats and soft seats, and also increased soft sleepers in response to passenger demands.
Travellers suggested ticket prices were almost the same as regular ones.
Railway officials in Xi'an suggest they might continue offering this service through peak travel periods.
