China to air documentary on social, economic achievements
BEIJING - A documentary featuring China's social and economic achievements since 2012 will be aired on the state broadcaster China Central Television (CCTV), according to an official statement Saturday.
The six-episode documentary, "Amazing China," summarizes social and economic achievements since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 2012, it said.
The documentary highlights China's five development concepts of innovation, coordination, greening, opening up and inclusiveness.
The film crew spent three months shooting around 3,000 hours of footages and interviewing 108 people across the country. With the 19th CPC National Congress scheduled for October, the documentary is expected to inspire the Chinese people, it said.
It was co-produced by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and CCTV.
