Rural doctor earned name of "Life Guardian" in NE China

Different from doctors in urban area, rural doctors must make house calls frequently. According to Yue Ruhua's wife Jing Yuhong, he fell down on rugged road and stayed up late to rescue patients countless times. In 2013, Yue Ruhua was diagnosed with acute myocardial infarction and sent to intensive care unit. Villagers raised more than 20,000 yuan to help him. Yue Ruhua stated that he would be responsible for villagers' health as long as he is alive. His dedication earned him a name of "Life Guardian". [Photo/Xinhua] |
