Suspect of kindergarten explosion dead: police

The suspect in a kindergarten explosion in East China's Jiangsu province has been confirmed dead, according to police.
The 22-year-old man, surnamed Xu, died in the blast that killed eight people in Fengxian county, East China's Jiangsu province, on Thursday, said police.
Police said Xu has been suspended from school after he was diagnosed with "vegetative nervous function disturbances". He lived in a rented home near the kindergarten.
Materials for making explosives were found at his home, where there are words "death" and "destroy" on the wall.
The blast struck the Chuangxin Kindergarten at around 4:50 pm as family members were picking up their children.
Eight people died and 65 people were injured, including four who remain in critical condition.
