Nuclear submarine opens its doors to public in Qingdao

| China's first domestically made nuclear submarine - Long March 1, opened to the public on Monday at the Chinese Navy Museum in coastal city Qingdao, East China's Shandong province. Built in 1970, the submarine had served in the People's Liberation Army Navy for decades and was decommissioned last year. All of its nuclear devices, including its turbo electric engine and water reactor, have since been removed from the submarine. [Photo/VCG] |
