How do you spend your weekends with your busy schedule?

I do sports. For example, I regularly go jogging. Otherwise, I spend as much time as possible with my wife, family and friends.

What are your hobbies?

Sports: jogging, yoga and skiing. I am very interested in technology. If I have the time, I like to read.

Do you have an icon or icons?

My parents.

What is the book you are reading now?

What The West Can Still Learn From The East.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

There are several things or situations that make me happy, such as beautiful evenings with friends, an Alpine tour and good discussions.

What is your greatest fear?

Fear is not the right word but, of course, I hope that my family and friends stay healthy and will not be affected by misfortunes.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I am sometimes a bit impatient.

What are your most treasured possessions?

Shares in KUKA AG Corp.

What kind of "green" lifestyle do you have?

My impact as an individual is limited, but I am proud that our new robot generation helps to save a lot of energy in the production processes.

Name places in China that impressed you most and those you have not visited but want to explore.

I was impressed by the Forbidden City. There are a lot of places I haven't been to, for example the Mausoleum of Qin Shihuang.

What's the best way to break the ice with Chinese businesspeople you've met for the first time?

There is no best way. Everybody is different. I'm always open to new people.

In a few words describe your impression of Chinese businesspeople.

They are hard-working, good at negotiating and business-orientated.

What kind of experience has shaped your thoughts the most?

Good discussions.
