The Exotic Charms of a Miao Village

The houses of Miao people are called "diaojiaolou," or literally "hanging attic" in Chinese. The wooden houses on stilts usually have two or three stories, with the upper floor housing the living room and the lower one used to store goods or poultry. The special architecture style has been passed down through generations of Miao families. [Photo/Xinhua]
