Marriott International, Korea Agro-Fisheries Trade Corporation sign MOU

Marriott International Inc, a leading lodging company which has lodging properties in 72 countries and regions, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Korea Agro-Fisheries Trade Corporation of the Republic of Korea at the Renaissance Beijing Chaoyang Hotel on January 10, 2012.

The MOU aims to promote Korean food and culture in China. Five Marriott Hotels selected carefully by Marriott International Inc will provide customers a chance to experience the ROK food and lifestyle.

GP Yeow, director of operations for China of Marriott, and ChongSeo Park, executive VP of Korean Agro-Fisheries Trade Corporation, attended the signing ceremony. General Manager of the Renaissance Beijing Chaoyang Hotel Angela Pan, representatives from the ROK embassy in Beijing and the Korean Cultural Service were also present the ceremony.

Last year, the Renaissance Beijing Chaoyang Hotel co-hosted the Beauty of Korean Style to Beijing diners with Korean Culture Service and the Korea Agro-Fisheries Trade Corporation. The two-month event was very successful with more than 2,000 visitors taking part in it.

"The success of the festival made an excellent opportunity for Marriott International Inc to collaborate more closely with supportive Korean organizations to promote Korean food and culture in China," GP Yeow said.
