Mao Feilian wins first gold medal for China at AIMAG
INCHEON, South Korea - Mao Feilian won China their first gold at the 4th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) here on Sunday after taking title in men's 200 meter individual medley.
The 19-year-old had a strong start in the beginning but was surpassed by host swimmer Im Tae-jong during backstroke. Mao's strong performance in the breaststroke helped himself to take the first place until the end and claimed the title at two minutes 1. 62 seconds, which also set a new Game record.
Sun Xiaolei, Xue Jiajia, Xu Zhijie and Liu Junwu cooperated to win China's second gold medal in men's 4*50m medley relay.
The women's swimming team added a silver medal to China's pocket after they finished second in women's 4*50m medley relay. The gold went to South Korea team at one minute 50.17 seconds.
