The 23rd Shenzhen Reading Month was launched at the Shenzhen Book City CBD Store on Nov 5.

The event will include over 2,300 reading and cultural activities and feature five dialogues and two exhibitions to promote relations between Shenzhen and Hong Kong in terms of cultural connections, cultural integration, and common prosperity.

The reading month will feature three special sections for science, culture and art to showcase Shenzhen's urban spirit. Lists of the top 10 books and top 10 children's books will continue to recommend high-quality books to the public.

In addition, the fourth Shenzhen Book Fair will be held during the reading month.

According to local authorities, since 2000 the reading month has held over 10,000 cultural activities and attracted over 240 million participants.
