Advanced intelligent manufacturing park starts operating in Xinjin

An advanced intelligent manufacturing park called Tianfu Xinjin Shuzhiwan officially started operating on Aug 4 in Xinjin district, Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan province.
The industrial park, located in the core area of the Tianfu Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Zone in Xinjin, is expected to cover an area of 23 square kilometers. It will focus on the development of intelligent equipment, intelligent terminals, and intelligent services to create a practice area for industrial digital transformation and upgrading.
The park will strive to develop a technology-driven advanced rail transit equipment industry, a demand-driven intelligent hardware and industrial Internet industry, and a trend-driven new energy vehicle and energy storage industry, said local officials.
A total of 15 Fortune Global 500 companies, 78 national high-tech enterprises, and 79 industrial innovation platforms have set up operations in the park, and industrial carriers in the park already cover a total area of 320,000 square meters, with another 360,000 sq m of industrial carriers currently under construction.
The park is cooperating with China Unicom Group to build a platform called Tianfu Chuangzhihui, which is deeply involved in industrial control, smart homes, smart wear, internet of things, 5G and robotics, to incubate SMEs and start-up teams.
It is also cooperating with Sichuan Tianfu New Area to build an advanced intelligent manufacturing industry base with an investment of 10 billion yuan ($1.48 billion) and cooperating with the Chengdu High-tech Zone to build an intelligent hardware industrial park with an investment of 10 billion yuan.
