Xindu district attracts talent with supporting policies
Xindu district in Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan province, is striving to attract more talent with strong supporting policies and a business friendly environment.
The district government awarded talent cards to a number of talents working in Xindu district at a recent meeting focusing on talent work.
The talent cards allow holders to enjoy various services related to medical treatment, children's schooling, and more, according to local officials.

Xindu district was also named "home of Chengdu Drifters" at the meeting.
Wang Zhongcheng, Party chief of the district, said the district is developing itself into a leader in talent work to drive regional development. He added that the district will attract talent from all over the world with a more open mind, more effective policies and measures, and a healthier natural environment.
Representatives of scientific research institutes, enterprises and talent were invited to give speeches at the meeting.

Dai Shifei, general manager of Chengdu Useful Technology Co Ltd, said Xindu attaches heavy importance to talent, providing them with a first-class development platform. He himself, for example, has participated in several major national projects with the support of the district government, he said.
"Thanks to Xindu's business environment and talent policies, we are able to bring in a large number of senior technical talents," Dai added.
Zhu Zhongqiang, a pharmaceutical engineer at Sichuan Kelun Pharmaceutical Co Ltd, said the district pays special attention to the cultivation of skilled talent and has built a complete training system.
He also said he is grateful for the talent card, as it makes him feel more at home.
