Known as a City of Volunteers, Shenzhen of South China's Guangdong province launched its first volunteer organization in 1989. After 32 years of development, Shenzhen is home to 2.08 million volunteers and 14,000 registered volunteer organizations. Volunteers from home and abroad are key participants in Shenzhen's social services.
