Activities held in Xinjin to celebrate Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival

A series of activities are currently underway in Xinjin district, Chengdu, Sichuan province, to celebrate the fourth Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival. The event, sponsored by the Chengdu municipal government, kicked off on Sept 23 and will run until the end of October.

The main venue is located in the China Tianfu Agricultural Expo Park, an agricultural expo and agricultural technology comprehensive service platform that serves the revitalization of Sichuan's rural areas.

The opening ceremony, with the China Tianfu Agricultural Expo Park and rice fields as a backdrop, consisted of a light and shadow show featuring four seasons and a number of performances.

The China Tianfu Agricultural Expo Park will continue to hold a series of activities from Sept 24 to Oct 7, such as farming games, musical performances and an artistic installation exhibition.

The other three branch venues in Xinjin as well as other parts of the district will also hold various forms of harvest celebration activities.
