Sichuan cuisine is one of the most important cultural tourism brands in the province. Sichuan cuisine cooking was selected as a national intangible cultural heritage item by the State Council in June.

To further promote Sichuan cuisine, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism launched a project last December to select the most famous tourist delicacies from across the province.

A total of 809 special dishes, snacks, and drinks were selected from 21 cities and prefectures. Among them, the 100 most iconic were selected as "Tianfu tourist delicacies".
