Winners of the City for Humanity Awards 2020 announced in Chengdu
The winners of the City for Humanity Awards 2020 initiated by Sanlian Lifeweek Magazine were announced on April 8 in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province.
The organizing committee invited dozens of experts in the fields of urban planning and construction, architecture and humanities to participate in the selection process.
Five sub-awards were selected across five categories: public space, architectural design, community creation, ecological contribution and urban innovation. The West Village Yard from Chengdu won the public space award.
The award ceremony was a part of the City for Humanity Forum 2020. During the event, the "Chengdu Declaration" was released, pointing out that "people are the purpose and yardstick of a city's development."
A related photo exhibition was also launched in Chengdu on April 7, displaying 26 projects shortlisted for the City for Humanity Awards 2020, and will last until April 21.
