East China's Zhejiang province launched its so-called "Important Window" campaign in early April to turn itself into a shining example of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics in the new era.

Situated in southeastern Zhejiang, Ningbo is striving to become a model city in the province's new drive.

According to a resolution passed at the 8th plenary meeting of the 13th Ningbo Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China in July, the city aims to become role model in such aspects as modern industrial system construction, innovation, reform and opening-up, urban-rural integrated development, social governance and environmental conservation.

The special is set to report the city's latest progress toward achieving this goal.
