Five-billion-yuan recycled wafers project settles in Hefei city

A signing ceremony for key industrial projects was held on February 25, in Hefei City, capital of Anhui province, where GCL System Integration Technology Co. (GCL System), along with Nio and Gotion High-tech, inked their deals of investment.

According to the deal, GCL System will invest five billion yuan ($715 million) in a production project that is expected to have an annual output of 3.6 million recycled wafers in the Feidong Industrial Robot Town in Hefei.

The project will cover five production lines for 12-inch wafers and one for 8-inch wafers. It is expected to generate annual sales revenue of over 1.5 billion yuan and annual tax of over 50 million yuan.

The Feidong Robot Industrial Town Project is developed and operated by China Fortune Land Development Co., Ltd. (CFLD) and the Feidong County Government.

The industrial town project, with the deal signed in Nov 2017, is located north of the county government and 17 kilometers away from the Hefei municipal government.

It is planned, constructed, and operated by the CFLD in a market-oriented manner, and aims to create a new high ground for the development of robots and related intelligent manufacturing industries in Hefei.
