First GBI 100 Competition launches in Wuxi’s Xishan district
The 2019 Global Business Innovation 100 Competition (GBI 100 Competition) kicked off in Xishan district, Wuxi, East China’s Jiangsu province on Nov 19.
The competition is among the top innovation competitions in the world in terms of scale, number of awards, and investment. It offers lucrative awards and highlights the practicality of projects.
Industrial capital worth hundreds of billions of yuan was invested by China Business Top 100 companies (CBT 100 companies) as well as venture capital funds worth tens of billions of yuan.
CBT 100 companies, CBT 100 funds, and CBT 100 cities have joined hands to invest in the frontier science and innovation achievements.
The competition includes a total of 100 awards, including the GBI 100 Diamond Award, Gold Awards, Silver Awards, Bronze Awards, Excellence Awards, and Finalist Awards. The GBI 100 Diamond Award is worth $1 million, more than that of the Nobel Prize. The award is offered to the project with the highest potential and value.
Individuals and companies that have completed A-round and B-round financing are eligible to participate.
The 2019 First GBI Competition has both international and Chinese divisions, with the former including multiple competition zones set up in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, Netherlands, Israel and Japan, while the latter has zones in major Chinese cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Jinan, Zhengzhou, and Wuxi, among others.
The competition has also set up a zone for Chinese universities.
