iFlytek to build Xi'an into artificial intelligence demonstration zone

Making use of the advantages in Xi'an, iFlytek will carry out in-depth and extensive cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and build Xi'an into an artificial intelligence demonstration zone, said Fu Minglei, head of the Shaanxi area of iFlytek.

On August 2018, iFlytek launched a division in Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone (XHTZ), and established its Silk Road headquarters in the zone.

It aims to further develop its research on smart voice and language technology, software and chip product development, voice information services, as well as e-government systems in Northwest China.

Xi'an's development of hard science and core technologies, as well as its industrial development supporting artificial intelligence has given the company great confidence, said Fu.

It is hoped that Xi'an will become the core base of talents, and the strategic fulcrum for the future development of iFlytek, he added.
