Eighteenth CBT100 Company Forum takes place in Beijing

In recognition of CBT 100 companies and outstanding entrepreneurs, the forums presented the CBT 100 Company Award to 150 attending companies. Meanwhile, the forums also presented the CBT 100 Outstanding Entrepreneur Award, the CBT 100 Excellent Secretary of Board Award and the CBT 100 Innovation Prize. In particular, Yu Xingxi was given the CBT 100 Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions as the former secretary of the board of China Railway Construction Corporation Limited. Finally, the forums presented the CBT 100 City Award to Wuxi and Suzhou in Jiangsu province, Jinan in Shandong province, Lanzhou in Gansu province and Chuzhou in Anhui province.

In response to calls for integration of the Yangtze River Delta, the two forums aimed to promote close cooperation between CBT 100 companies and cities, which in turn, will contribute to the integration process of the Yangtze River Delta. They also aimed to create a core area of the Yangtze River Delta (Shanghai + Suzhou&Wuxi&Changzhou) and a world-class zone composed of beautiful cities, featuring Xiangcheng district of Suzhou and Xishan district of Wuxi.

The WEI has launched the CBT 100 Company List for 18 consecutive years since 2001. The rankings are based on total profit, which not only reflects the scale of Chinese listed companies, but also their profitability, encouraging companies to grow bigger, stronger and better. Since 2015, WEI has been providing the CBT 100 City List. The rankings are based on both economic and non-economic (soft-economic) indicators, in order to measure the political, economic, social, cultural and ecological development of cities in a more comprehensive manner. The WEI will launch the CBT 100 University List from 2019, which aims to help CBT 100 companies and cities to connect with the latest achievements of global technological innovations, and to create effective platforms and operation mechanisms, encouraging close cooperation, between each other and CBT 100 universities.
