Photographers from both sides of the Taiwan Straits recently finished a tour of Sichuan province for works creation.
The tour, which launched on March 20, aimed to promote cultural exchanges between Sichuan and Taiwan, as well as the common development of the tourism industry in both places.
The first phase of the tour was held from April 16 to 22, inviting nearly 70 photographers from the travel photography branch of the Sichuan Provincial Tourism Association and a photography society in Taoyuan, Taiwan to take photos at Hailougou, a national 4A-level tourist attraction that is famous for its glaciers, hot spring, and primeval forest.

A forum was also held at Hailuogou during the tour, providing a platform for the photographers to exchange techniques, feelings, and ideas with each other.
The second phase of the tour invited 25 photographers from two photography societies in Taiwan and 39 photographers at the travel photography branch of the Sichuan Provincial Tourism Association to take photos in Yibin from June 12 to 17.

Yuan Shijun, director of the international exchange and cooperation office of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, said that the event fully displayed the charm of Sichuan to the photographers from both sides of the Taiwan Straits.
It also helped promote the integration of natural and cultural tourism resources in Sichuan, as well as increase the popularity and influence of Sichuan's culture and tourism in Taiwan, he added.
