Shanghai strengthens IPR protections
Vice mayor of Shanghai Chen Qun and many heads of various government departments, as well as eight Shanghai deputies to the National People's Congress and members of the Shanghai CPPCC (Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference) held a symposium on construction of a high level intellectual property protection environment on April 17.
The Shanghai intellectual property administration took over 22 proposals raised by deputies of the two sessions this year.
Shanghai will carry out revision and drafting of the regulations on patent protection in Shanghai, investigate comprehensive legislation of intellectual property rights (IPR), outline Shanghai's intellectual property strategy for 2035, establish a city-wide service system for quick authorization and rapid rights confirmation and maintenance, and build an intellectual property dispute solving mechanism.
It is critical to do well in intellectual property work under the new situation, which needs more attention and support from all sides, and especially guidance and help from deputies and members, said Chen.
