Russia to highlight expo as guest of honor

The Russian Federation will participate in the 4th Silk Road International Exposition as a guest of honor. The expo will open in Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi province on May 11.

In August 2018, the China (Shaanxi)-Russia Economic and Trade Cooperation Fair was held in Moscow, which further strengthened the exchanges and cooperation between Shaanxi and Russia.

At the fair, Russian Presidential Adviser Sergei Glazyev said in his speech that Shaanxi is one of China's fast-growing provinces and that it has enormous technological and investment potential in promoting Sino-Russian economic cooperation.

Li Jingyuan, commercial counselor of the Chinese embassy in Russia, said that he believed Shaanxi province has the potential and ability to become a new bright spot for China's regional cooperation with Russia and to contribute more to deepening the pragmatic cooperation between the two countries.
