Silk Road expo preparations speed up
Zhao Runmin, head of the Shaanxi provincial department of commerce, gave guidance on the preparation for the Fourth Silk Road International Exposition on May 5, after the preparatory work for the event as a whole entered its final phase.
Zhao was briefed on the progress in the preparatory arrangements. He gave opinions and suggestions to issues that were raised during the working conference.
Preparations are proceeding full sail ahead as scheduled, Zhao said. He urged that all personnel should accelerate efforts to ensure that the various economic and trade activities on the agenda can be held smoothly.
The Fourth Silk Road International Exposition will run from May 11 to 15 in Xi'an, capital city of Shaanxi province in northwest China. It will deepen and implement the results of the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, which was held in Beijing last month.
