Chengdu culture sparks interest in Tokyo

Chengdu Culture and Tourism Group and its affiliated companies recently signed several cooperation agreements with Japanese companies and organizations at a promotional conference sponsored by the Chengdu Tourism Bureau in Tokyo.

Among the Japanese companies who came to an agreement with the Chengdu tourism company was Japan Spicy Alliance. The two companies agreed to explore each other's attractions and promote mutual tourism. They plan to enhance their global influence by jointly holding food events, publishing a weekly food magazine/manual, and producing food maps. Regular exchanges and joint training programs will also be established to strengthen the bond between the two companies.

Chengdu China Youth Travel Service and Nippon Travel Agency Co Ltd also signed a cooperation agreement, agreeing to further integrate their aviation resources, scenic spots, hotels and other tourism-related items, and mutually promote each other's tourist products. They will also actively participate in and support each other's tourism-related events.

Also worthy of note was the agreement signed between Chengdu Culture and Tourism Rongcheng Enterprise Management Co Ltd and the Windsor Hotel Toya Resort & Spa. They agreed to promote each other and share their hotel management techniques and resources.

Last but not least, Xiling Snow Mountain signed an agreement with Dailysha Company Limited to share customer resources and promote mutual tourism through preferential policies. They will also establish a long-term system to jointly develop tourist products.

Officials of the Chengdu Tourism Bureau introduced the city's primary tourist attractions at the promotional conference, including the Chengdu Research Base for Giant Panda Breeding, Tianfu Greenway, the Temple of Marquis, Qingcheng Mountain and the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, as well as Sichuan cuisine and Chengdu-style tourist towns.

During their visit to Japan, the Chengdu tourism delegation also visited the Economic and Tourism Affairs Bureau of Sapporo. The two parties discussed working together to increase tourism and cultural exchanges between the two places.

Sapporo is scheduled to hold an exhibition at the Ito Yokado store in Chengdu next January to promote its products and tourist attractions.
