Christophe Galfard holds a doctorate in theoretical physics from Cambridge University, where he was Professor Stephen Hawking's graduate student from 2000 to 2006, researching the so-called black hole information paradox and the origins of the universe.

He co-authored George's Secret Key to the Universe with Stephen Hawking and his daughter, Lucy Hawking. The children's book has been translated into over twenty different languages.

Committed to spreading modern scientific ideas to the general public in entertaining ways, he is a regular guest on French TV.
