Among the trees, flowers and pathways, Xuantian Lake is 3.5 kilometers long and 800 meters wide. Recently it has been the center of a district project to improve the local landscape. The project involved planting different plants along the lake and making improvements to ensure the protection of the local environment. Integrating cultural elements into the natural beauty of the region, the result is a picture-perfect landscape.

"Every night, my family comes to Xuantian Lake for a walk because of its wonderful ecological environment and beautiful scenery," a resident said.

Tongliang district will construct Xuantian Lake area, little Beihai area and Huaiyuan new area, with each focusing on a different service for visitors: an international health care base, a national outdoor sports center and an urban garden.

The project will search for different ways to promote the international health town, with different industries developing in the fields of health forums, medical health care, sport, an exotic experience museum and education.

The international health care base will introduce international high-end hospitals and form industrial economic clusters, bringing tourists a professional experience.

The national outdoor sports in particular will target young people, featuring mountain climbing and skiing. It will introduce international sports industries to the area and organize sports events such as mountain biking, marathons, cliff climbing, outdoor sports and boxing.
