Beibei to develop its hot spring tourism

Beibei is aiming to use its local hot spring destination, the North Jinyun Mountain hot spring resort, to encourage tourists to the area. Called the global "Hot Spring City", Beibei hosts domestic and overseas resort and hotel brands including Banyan Tree, Bolian and Sheenjoy.

This May, Evergrande Health, part of the Evergrande Group, signed a cooperative agreement with Beibei to invest 40 billion yuan ($5.84 billion) to build Evergrande international hot spring tourism and health care town in Beibei district.

The hot spring town will include hot spring houses, a hot spring museum, a hot spring theme hotel, a conference center and business street as well as health nursing projects such as a health care center and elderly nursing apartments, which will further promote the integration and development of the local industry.

In June, the world hot spring and climate health federation reached an agreement with Beibei to set up the only Asian regional office in the district and to establish the Asian Hot Spring Research Institute.

As a key area for Beibei hot spring tourism, Shili hot spring town will cover the core area of Chengjiang Canal and Wentang Gorge area, with a planned area of 20 square kilometers. Beibei will introduce famous enterprises to build its brand, making it a wonderful place for experiencing Chinese hot spring culture.
