First meeting of the PPP and Infrastructure Financing Network of Asia and the Pacific held in Guiyang

The first meeting of the Public Private Partnership (PPP) and Infrastructure Financing Network of Asia and the Pacific was held in Guiyang, China's Guizhou on September 12.

The event aims to improve the PPP capacity of government officials from the PPP authorities and implementing agencies in Asia-Pacific countries, promote national infrastructure construction, implement the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, as well as support the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative.

During the three-day event, Zhang Shufeng, executive president of China Fortune Land Development Co Ltd (CFLD) shared the experience of CFLD in launching PPP model projects in the past 16 years.

Zhang said that CFLD provides services such as planning and design, land consolidation, infrastructure construction, public supporting construction, industrial development and urban operation for the government within the agreed cooperation area and period, forming a complete set of self-balanced new industry cities with PPP model that combines urban infrastructure construction and industrial development.

The event is sponsored by the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), and co-organized by China PPP Center, Department of Finance of Guizhou.

Activities such as the introduction of international and domestic PPP development status, case exchanges, training and demonstration, and site inspection were held during the event.

Approximately 80 people including government officials from 22 countries of the ESCAP who are responsible for PPP, and representatives from China PPP Center, Department of Finance of Guizhou and relevant provincial departments, social capital parties, and third-party consulting agencies and the project companies attended the event.
