Xi'an Hi-tech Zone brings its latest technologies to Silk Road Expo

Xi'an High-tech Zone showcased its cutting-edge technologies at the third Silk Road International Exposition and the Investment and Trade Forum for Cooperation between East and West China, which commenced in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province on May 11.

At the five-day event, the hi-tech zone demonstrated its scientific achievements in aerospace, artificial intelligence, optoelectronic chips and new energy in the No 1 Pavilion.

These achievements can be attributed to the positioning and planning of the zone's development.

It launched a three-year action plan early this year and marked 2018 as an important year on the schedule.

According to the plan, innovations on work mechanism and industrialization of projects are to be made in 2018; the industrial upgrading and improvements of its urban function will be realized in 2019; the zone plans to grow into a world-class industry park and the best investment destinations in the Xi'an Metropolitan Region, covering nine districts and four counties in Xi'an and Xianyang's two districts, one prefecture-level city and five counties.

The Xi'an Hi-tech Zone will focus on its competitiveness in transportation and flow of resources to seek high-quality development and drive the engines of the city's economic growth.
