Reporters expect for First China Online Media Reporting Tour

The First China Online Media Reporting Tour in Sichuan is set to be held from September 3 to 10, with the aim of promoting the development of the province’s tourism industry, and highlighting the region's development.

The Sichuan Provincial Tourism Administration and NEWSSC.ORG are organizing the tour, and reporters representing more than 30 websites from all over China are expected to gather in Chengdu, capital city of Sichuan province, on September 2.

During their eight-day tour, the reporters will have the chance to see scenery and ethnic culture in the cities of Bazhong, Guang’an, Guangyuan, Nanchong, Suining and Ya’an.

Sichuan is one of the major agricultural production bases of China and has long been known as a "Province of Abundance". It is also a major center for tourism, due to its picturesque landscape and historical relics. The Sichuanese are also proud of their cuisine, which is referred to as one of the country’s Four Major Cuisines, and the province’s most popular dishes can be described in four words: spicy, hot, fresh and fragrant.
