The sixth Exhibition of Chinese Flower-and-Bird Painting will be held in the Sichuan Art Gallery in November this year.

The latest contemporary Chinese flower-and-bird paintings will be on display at the exhibition, allowing visitors to witness the improvements in Chinese traditional painting. Works from 150 well-known artists can be appreciated at the show.

The exhibition committee announced at the press conference that they will collect 500 pieces of Chinese artwork from around the world until Sept 15.

“The exhibition is a grand event for Chinese art. The works represent the highest level of Chinese flower-and-bird painting,” said Li Guangcheng, a famous Chinese artist and deputy president of the Sichuan Xishu Art Academy.

As a preliminary event, the Sichuan Xishu Art Academy will hold a flower-and-bird painting exhibition from March 15 to 17 in Chengdu Art Gallery. The exhibition is open to the public for free. Works of many famous Chinese artists will be on display.
