Sino-Russian Party Forum held in NE China

The second Sino-Russian Party Forum was held on October 9th at Suifenhe, in northeast China’s Heilongjiang province.

China’s Vice Premier Wang Qishan and Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov attended the opening ceremony and addressed respectively. They were also present at the opening ceremony of the 2009 China Famous Commodity Fair.

During his visit to the Suifenhe railway port, Wang urged to speed up the development of border trade, improve infrastructure construction, and solve the institutional obstacles that hinder the border trade development.

Wang also stressed the importance of cooperation between governments, enterprises and non-governmental organizations across the border, combining China’s advantages in the labor forces with the resources in the neighbouring countries
